Fees

Occupational therapy services are billed at $193.99 per hour. This rate applies to all services, including therapy sessions, assessments, and report writing (face-to-face, non-face-to-face, and telehealth).

As a mobile service, travel time is billed at $97 per hour, and kilometres are charged at $0.99 per km. Travel billing is subject to limits—please get in touch to discuss what this may look like for your family and location.

Face-to-face sessions typically run for 30–60 minutes, depending on your child’s needs and therapy goals. Session length and service options will be discussed with you to ensure support feels practical and appropriate for your family.

About Mobile Occupational Therapy Supports

As a Mobile Occupational Therapy practice, therapy happens where your child feels safest—at home, at school, or in familiar spaces like the backyard or local playground—so skills can be practiced naturally and used in everyday life.

Each session is designed to meet your child’s unique strengths, needs, and interests, ensuring that therapy is meaningful, fun, and relevant to daily routines. Services include play-based learning, caregiver support, and individualised strategies, all tailored to your child and family goals. This approach helps children build confidence and independence while encouraging families to be active partners in the learning process. By delivering therapy in the spaces your child already knows, skills learned in sessions are easier to generalise and use across multiple environments. Children can practice self-care, motor, sensory, and social skills in the places where they actually live, play, and learn, which strengthens retention and makes progress feel natural. Caregivers are provided with practical tools and guidance to support learning outside of therapy, helping children practice skills during everyday activities and routines.

Telehealth Support

Telehealth occupational therapy offers the same individualised, play-based, and family-centered support as in-person sessions—just delivered online. Sessions are interactive, practical, and tailored to children aged 4–18 and their caregivers, focusing on real-life skills that can be practiced immediately at home, school, and in everyday routines.

Telehealth occupational therapy services offer flexible, accessible support for children aged 4–18 and their caregivers, wherever they feel most comfortable. Using secure online platforms, sessions are designed to meet children and families where they are—whether that’s at home, after school, or during busy family routines—while still providing meaningful, individualized support. Telehealth sessions focus on building skills that support everyday participation at home, school, and in the community. Support may include emotional regulation, executive functioning, motor coordination, sensory processing, self-care routines, social skills, confidence, and independence. Sessions are engaging, interactive, and tailored to a child’s age, interests, and learning style, using everyday materials and real-life situations to support skill development. Caregiver support is a key part of telehealth services. Parents and caregivers are guided through practical strategies, tools, and routines that can be used throughout daily life. This may include support with transitions, behavior challenges, school demands, emotional regulation, or fostering independence at home. Telehealth allows caregivers to be actively involved in sessions, ask questions in real time, and gain confidence in supporting their child outside of therapy. For older children and teens, telehealth provides a comfortable and empowering space to build self-awareness, problem-solving skills, and independence. Working within familiar environments helps skills generalize naturally, making therapy relevant and functional. Telehealth services offer a flexible, family-centered option that supports growth, confidence, and participation—without the need to travel—making therapy more accessible and easier to integrate into everyday life.

Key Benefits of Accessing Support Online:

  • Support from Home: no travel, no stress—receive quality care in your child’s familiar environment.

  • Online Platform: engaging and personalised, tailored to your child’s goals and interests.

  • Family-Centred & Collaborative: working closely with caregivers to build confidence, connection, and progress.

  • Learning Skills for Everyday Life: help your child thrive in play, school, routines, and relationships through engagement with OT online.

  • Assessments: understand your child’s strengths, challenges, and support needs.

Caregiver Coaching and Collaboration

Parent coaching and collaboration are central to our approach. Families are supported with practical strategies, guidance, and shared problem-solving to help skills grow beyond the therapy session. This collaborative approach helps therapy fit naturally into family life rather than feeling like something separate. By understanding each family’s routines, priorities, and challenges, support can be tailored in a way that feels manageable and sustainable. This encourages consistency, confidence, and meaningful progress across home, school, and community settings.

Whether you're waiting for therapy, currently engaged in services, or simply seeking guidance, our coaching sessions offer:

  • Personalised Support: Tailored strategies based on your child’s unique strengths, needs, and family routines.

  • Neuro-Affirming Guidance: Understand your child’s sensory, motor, emotional, and developmental needs in a respectful, strengths-based way.

  • Everyday Strategies: Learn how to support regulation, play, self-care, attention, and transitions at home or in the community.

  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Navigate challenges like meltdowns, sleep routines, school participation, or mealtime struggles with confidence.

  • Connection & Understanding: Build stronger relationships by understanding the “why” behind your child’s behaviour and responses.

Functional Capacity Assessments

FCAs offer a detailed overview of your child’s everyday functioning to help guide therapy, support planning, and NDIS funding. These assessments focus on how a child participates in daily activities at home, school, and in the community, rather than isolated skills. Information gathered helps families, schools, and funding bodies better understand what supports may be helpful now and in the future. FCAs are completed in a respectful, child-centered way and may include observation in natural environments, conversations with caregivers, and collaboration with other professionals involved in the child’s care. The goal is to provide practical, meaningful recommendations that support participation, independence, and confidence across daily routines.

FCAs can help you take the next step with confidence.
